We carry out our mission by providing business loans, grants for communities, grants for housing renovation, grants for weatherization, and working with donors to support our mission.

Business loans

SCKEDD offers loan programs designed to meet the unique funding needs of entrepreneurs and emerging companies.  Working together with local financial institutions, banks, and organizations, SCKEDD’s lending experts are focused on providing crucial startup capital for new innovative companies and financing established expanding companies in several Kansas counties. 

 

Grants for communities

SCKEDD's knowledgeable grants program team works with local communities to attain important grants to better attract new businesses, accelerate job growth, and encourage new private development. 

 

Community housing renovation

SCKEDD’s housing specialists partner with communities to renovate existing available housing to attract new residents, a skilled workforce, private investment, and economic growth.  

Weatherization

SCKEDD's highly successful weatherization program helps eligible low-income households improve their residential energy efficiency and increase their energy savings. The weatherization program is serving eligible low-income households located in 41 southern Kansas counties.

SCKEDD's highly successful programs are made possible by donations from individuals and businesses like yours. Your donation will fuel new entrepreneurial opportunities to improve the quality of life for many low-income households and advance creative pathways to prosperity throughout south-central Kansas.
