KANSAS EMERGENCY RENTAL ASSISTANCE (KERA)

The Kansas Emergency Rental Assistance (KERA) program provides rent, utility, and internet assistance to households experiencing financial hardship as a result of the COVID pandemic. Landlords and tenants apply via a joint online process. If the application is approved, the landlord or service provider receives funds directly from KERA and applies KERA funds to the applicant’s account. Approved applicants are eligible for up to 12 months of assistance.

Business Loans

SCKEDD offers favorable loan programs designed to meet the unique funding needs of entrepreneurs and emerging companies.  Working together with local financial institutions, banks, and other peer organizations, SCKEDD’s lending experts are focused on providing crucial startup capital for new innovative companies and financing established companies located in south central Kansas. 

Community Grants

SCKEDD's knowledgeable grants writing and administration team works with local communities to attain important grants to improve the quality of life, attract new businesses, accelerate job growth, and encourage new private development. 

 

Community Housing Resurgence Program

SCKEDD’s housing specialists partner with communities to renovate existing available housing to attract new residents, a skilled workforce, private investment, and economic growth.  

Weatherization

SCKEDD's highly successful weatherization program helps eligible low-income households improve their residential energy efficiency and increase their energy savings. The weatherization program is serving eligible low-income households located in 41 southern Kansas counties.
