WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) – Increased energy bills is something many people deal with during the colder months but the Weatherization Assistance Program is helping residents keep money in their pockets.
“They can take that money that they would have spent on their utilities and use it for medications, hospital bills, and just putting food on the table,” said Outreach and Resource Specialist Erynne Farney of the savings. She said its seen a 20-30% annual savings on utility bills after doing upgrades on a home.
