Jill Olson Photography
The SCKEDD Microloan
Program and the Butler County Microloan Program recently closed a
loan with Jill Olson d/b/a Jill Olson Photography, a photography
business in Augusta, Kansas. Ms. Olson opened her business in 1996
and has expanded her line from just photographing children to
capturing the portraits of families and seniors. After taking a
brief hiatus from the business for a few years, Ms. Olson is ready
to reenter the photography business by purchasing updated
photography equipment. These loans assisted her in obtaining the
needed equipment for the ever-changing photography industry.

Java Salon, LLC
SCKEDD’s Microloan Program recently closed a
loan with Java Salon LLC, which is a start-up hair salon located at
13303 W. Maple, Ste. 115, in Wichita, Kansas. Innovative Bank and
Borrego Springs Bank also participated in the total project.
Christy Crites has over 15 years experience in the hair care
industry and is excited to venture out with her own salon. She will
also offer a coffee bar and internet access while you are waiting to
get your hair styled. This loan will assist her in purchasing the
equipment and having the working capital to be able to open her own
salon. Her grand opening is on Saturday, June 21, 2008.

Eagle 1 Heating & Air,
L.L.C.
The
Sedgwick County Microloan Program recently closed a loan with Eagle
1 Heating & Air, LLC, a heating and air business in Park City,
Kansas. The owner, Dustin Dillon, is fully licensed and insured.
This loan assisted Mr. Dillon in purchasing the needed equipment for
the business and provided working capital.

Dustee Self Agency, LLC
dba American Family Insurance Agency
The SCKEDD Microloan Program recently closed a
loan with Dustee Self Agency, LLC, an American Family Insurance
agency in downtown Wichita. The owner, Dustee Self, has several
years of experience in the industry and was privileged to obtain a
large number of policies from another American Family Insurance
agent who left the business. This loan assisted her in obtaining
working capital so she could hire an additional staff member to
assist in caring for these new policies.
Eureka Lake Bait House
The Greenwood County Microloan Program
recently closed a loan with Travette Tannahill and Michael Tannahill
d/b/a Eureka Lake Bait House, a bait shop located at the Eureka
Lake. The owners plan to operate the business on Thursday, Friday,
Saturday and Sundays from May to September each year. They are also
contracted with the City of Eureka to sell the camping and boating
permits at the lake. This loan assisted them in purchasing
equipment, inventory and working capital for the business.
2 Mom’s in a Bakery dba
Daylight Donuts
The SCKEDD Microloan Program recently closed a
loan with 2 Mom’s in a Bakery dba Daylight Donuts, a Daylight Donut
shop in Hutchinson, Kansas. The mother and daughter team, Brenda
Pardee and Otha Lollar, decided to purchase the existing business
and re-open it as their own business at 305 North Main, in
Hutchinson. This loan assisted them in purchasing the business and
provided inventory and working capital for the business.

Good Health
Chiropractic & Diagnostic Center, LLC
SCKEDD recently packaged an SBA 7(a) Patriot
Express Loan for Dr. William Good to assist with financing for Good
Health Chiropractic & Diagnostic Center, LLC in Hillsboro, Kansas.
Loan funds were provided through Emprise Bank and SCKEDD prepared
the necessary loan application documents and provided advice to
Emprise Bank Community Bank President, Robert L. Watson, for the
7(a) Patriot Express application process. A companion Revolving
Loan Fund (RLF) loan through SCKEDD was used to complete the project
financing. Rick Rawlings, RLF Program Manager, packaged and closed
the RLF loan.
Good Health Chiropractic & Diagnostic Center,
LLC was formed by Dr. Good in February 2008 to provide chiropractic
and alternative healthcare services. Dr. Good will focus on the
growing demand for alternative healthcare services as consumers
become increasingly interested in disease prevention and health
maintenance. The business will have two full-time employees. It is
located at 122 North Main Street.
