What We’re About.
SCKEDD is short for South Central Kansas Economic Development District. Simply put, our goal is to help.
We give individuals, companies and government agencies help with finance packaging, advice, and procedures. Our resources are happily extended toward community improvement, housing, and other urgent needs. Stimulating the economy of our designated 14-county area is the passion behind our endeavors.
We’re working hard to touch every corner of South Central Kansas with a better economy, and we have several grant and loan programs in place to do so. Our grants include the Community Development Block Grant and the Economic Development Administration’s Public Works Grant, which involve our assistance in packaging and administrating funds. We also feature the HOME Housing Rehabilitation Program, which involves providing repairs for qualified homeowners.
We offer the Housing Preservation Grant, Rural Development Grant/Loan, and Weatherization Grant, which work to provide energy savings, upgraded housing options, and development opportunities.
Our SBA loans, revolving loans, and other business loan programs aim to enhance the quality of life for the residents of our designated counties.
